Escambia County’s Saufley Landfill (Pensacola, FL) was awarded the Silver Award for Landfill Remediation by the Solid Waste Association North America 
(SWANA). The 23 acre construction & demolition landfill was previously determined to be an environmental hazard. But, these concerns were successfully addressed by the unique synthetic turf closure system. ESI was subcontracted to install the complete synthetic turf system, which included various geosynethic materials provided by WatershedGeo and Agru America. Congratulations to Escambia County and ClosureTurf!
